The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean, and breakfast at the restaurant next door was amazing. But the pool wasn’t open, which really disappointed the kids since it was the main reason we booked. The place was run down: the towel bar came out of the wall when I hung a towel on it, and the key cards repeatedly needed reprogramming. Even when the card worked, the door was extremely hard to open. The person who checked us in didn’t seem very knowledgeable. I’d booked two rooms but she checked us into only one, so we had to go back down to sort out the second. The heat in one room didn’t work, and we had to switch rooms.

We had to spend the evening using the first floor bathroom by the pool because the toilet in our room wasn’t fixed. I have an 11 yr old with very specific needs, as well as a teen female. I called at 5 pm and was told someone would come up; at 6 pm they said someone would be there right away. After 7, I went to the desk and was told, “oh they didn't tell you? Maintenance went home at 4 we won't be fixing your toilet until tomorrow.” When I asked for compensation for the evening, they offered half a night’s points or 25 percent off, since we stayed instead of leaving and making a 3 fr ride home that night. They had a right way and a wrong way to make this situation right, and they chose the wrong way. We’ll never stay again, and I strongly advise others not to either.

The clean, comfortable room was a good place to unwind after a long day. The staff at this Holiday Inn were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I had a fantastic stay.

For the last ten years, I’ve been coming from Maine to Massachusetts one weekend a month to see my grandson. He is non verbal autistic, loves the pool, and has a special diet, so I ALWAYS book a room or suite with a kitchen and pool. I reserved this “suite” because of the pool, but two days before check-in I got an email saying it was closed. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have gone there. The suite kitchen was completely empty of essentials. I’ve never had a suite advertised with a kitchen that didn’t have basics like plates, cups, cutlery, and paper towels. I brought all the food, but had to find plastic silverware, cups, napkins, and plates in the lobby. The room was unbearably hot when we arrived. I turned the heat down, then found the next morning that the heater was leaking and 1/8 of the carpet was soaked. The bathroom towel racks fell off the wall, and the vent beside the bed roared nonstop like a freight train. I was extremely disappointed. There’s a reason I stopped going to motel 6, but I’d probably go there before this holiday Inn again.
