Econo Lodge Pearl - Jackson

Finding bedbugs on the bedding and pillows was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. I've never had a hotel stay this disgusting. I urge travelers to avoid the property. It's alarming that it remains open and is still listed on major booking platforms, and no guest should have to take that kind of risk.

The room had a lot of problems. The A/C was ancient, loud enough to drown out the TV at volume 39, and barely cooled the room. The fridge only got cool even on its highest setting, so my food spoiled. The coffee maker was old, dusty, and dirty; one dirty coffee cup had no plastic cover and was placed beneath a wrapped new one. The remote's missing back was covered with tape. There was a water bottle wedged between the mattress and wall, and the bed hadn't been cleared of it. The lamps were filthy, the scratched and cut headboard was in bad shape, and the bathroom wall was damaged and dirty. The tissue cover, which should have been chrome, was covered in rust. The sheet had a black mark and old burn holes, though they replaced it quickly. The man at check-in and the man who changed it were speaking in an Indian language and seemed angry. At breakfast, peeled hard-boiled eggs were set on ice in a bowl, and four yogurts sat in another bowl with ice. The coffee pump carafe was dirty on the outside too. Do not stay.

The people were amazing, the rooms were great and affordable, and breakfast was good too. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Breakfast was a nice surprise, with cereal, pastries, and fresh coffee. It was simple but satisfying. I also felt safe here: the area seemed safe, the property was well lit at night, and I noticed surveillance cameras. The room was relaxing, with a comfortable bed, and it was clean and well kept. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in the work. Staff were friendly and accommodating from the start, and check-in was quick and easy. I'd recommend EconoLodge Motel for a comfortable, clean, budget-friendly stay with good rooms, helpful staff, and a decent breakfast.
