Alien Residence Inn

A solid low-cost place to stop and rest. The beds and pillows were great, even though the motel and rooms feel dated. There's a large laundry area, and they'll do a load for $20.

We left before the night was even over. While my husband and I were asleep, a worker came into our room to “make sure it was occupied.” Nobody knocked, and our lights were on. That alone was a deal breaker, but the room had plenty of other problems too. The lotion bottle looked partly used, the floors had footprints and other marks and didn't seem mopped, and there were brown marks on the shower curtain that looked like dirty handprints. The mirror still had its label sticker on it, the towels and washcloths were stained so we didn't use them, and the fire alarm wasn't mounted in the wall, which is a hazard. We asked for our money back after the worker came in while we were sleeping, and were told no because we'd checked in at 12. I looked up the refund policy and believe it said refunds were available 24 hours in advance, but we hadn't made a reservation. We walked in and booked a room right then. Wouldn't recommend it. A waste of money.

We only booked because this was the sole hotel in town with a room available. I can see why so many rooms are open. There were two cockroaches by the door when we entered, and both beds had hair, crumbs, and toenail clippings. The sheets and blankets were stained and didn't look freshly washed. They wouldn't offer a refund or even a discount. Really disgusting place.

It took three people an hour, with my help, to locate my reservation after I arrived. The room was outdated and smelled bad, the sink was clogged, and the shower didn't work. The dirty stairs at the main entrance were embarrassing.
