I travel every week, and having someone who clearly loves her job made the stay so much better. Amber was fantastic when every other hotel was booked. After I’d driven three hours to get there, she found a way to get me a room. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The staff really made this stay for me. Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk to housekeeping, was courteous and seemed to care about making things right. When I mentioned a funky smell in the room, they apologized and dealt with it quickly. It didn’t linger, and their response turned a small problem into a good example of how to treat guests. I liked having a complimentary dinner, and the breakfast was fresh, well stocked, and had fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, and sausage. The dining area was clean. The fitness room had modern equipment, and the outdoor pool looked clean and inviting. There were also recycling bins and water-saving features. My suite was roomy and clean, with a separate living area, a cozy bedroom, and a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and there was plenty of workspace. It worked well for preparing simple meals and keeping leftovers. The hotel is near major roads and businesses, and there are a few places to eat a short drive away. Staff suggestions helped me find some local spots. My stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Pecos, TX was a great one, and I’d recommend it whether you’re there for a night or longer.

A pretty ordinary hotel, in a good way. The rooms are new, clean, and everything worked. Internet was fairly quick, too.

Our family of five stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Pecos, TX for three nights, July 23-26, 2025. The hotel is new, and breakfast had a good variety, but we left disappointed and wouldn’t come back. Housekeeping never came to our room, even though we were out from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. When I asked for clean towels, they said we could get them ourselves if we brought the dirty ones down. I asked why no one had serviced the room and got, “We’re busy.” That’s not what I expect at a Hilton. The pool was also closed the whole time, which really let the kids down. Breakfast was the worst part. The attendant was rude to me and my children every morning. When my son spilled a little granola while fixing his yogurt, she stopped him, came over and asked, “What’s the problem?” I said there wasn’t one, and she insisted there was. Then she took apart the whole granola station, so we had to wait. Another time I reached for a glass bowl that was set out for guests, and she pointed me to paper plates and said not to use the glassware. She hovered around us, slammed cabinet doors, and changed trash bags that didn’t need changing, making breakfast uncomfortable. I was also concerned to see her spraying Clorox bleach on food-contact surfaces, including the juice dispensers, while guests were eating nearby. I’m no expert, but that seemed like a serious health hazard. We wanted to enjoy our stay, and expected more from the Hilton brand. Basic hospitality was missing.
