The kitchenette was nice, and housekeeping responded quickly when we asked for things. Still, we couldn’t get breakfast after trying three times because the dining area was packed each time, so we gave up and left. The room floor was disgusting, the tub was dirty, and there were no toiletries. The pool was dark green and opened late. It did eventually open, but it shouldn’t have. It should be open before checkout time! We’ve stayed here several times over the years, but it cost $60 more than it did under the previous ownership and felt like less value. Sadly, we probably won’t be back.

We left five minutes after entering because the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned before check-in. There was a clump of hair in the curtain by the window, dirt throughout, a rag in the sink, and crumbs on the stove. Outside was just as bad: trash and cigarette butts everywhere, as if the place hadn’t been swept in ages, plus an awful, unidentifiable smell on the stairs. The pool was off season, but the cover held at least one or two feet of stagnant, dirty water and debris. It looked disgusting. I’d rather spend a little more at the Econo Lodge or Holiday Inn Express in town. If I could, I’d give this place zero.

There wasn’t a trash can in the room. When I asked, I was told they had none because they were on backorder. The toilet didn’t work, and the answer was that I could use the lobby one. There were no towels either, apparently because housekeeping had left at noon instead of its usual 5 p.m. The response was, “I guess they’re fired.” The whole property was filthy, and housekeeping, maintenance, and the manager had all conveniently left. I’m furious that I paid this place at all. Don’t stay here for any reason.

The rooms were pretty nice and spacious, and the employees were kind and helpful. I’d like more music channels on the TV and maybe additional washers and dryers, but overall I thought it was nice. They also have a cool bar and restaurant, plus a big swimming pool. Four stars!
