Doug and Bev made us feel like family from the moment we arrived, and their hospitality was above and beyond. They even cleared the snow off our car. The breakfasts and conversations were great, and the stay was peaceful and relaxing. We loved the Kings Chambers and the location near downtown. We could have stayed close by the whole time, though we chose to explore the surrounding areas too. It’s a beautiful home, and Christ and His word are clearly its foundation. Doug and Bev live out the spiritual discipline of hospitality. We came for the Christmas festivities and shopping opportunites Pella had to offer, and I’m hopeful we can return. After this stay, I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else. Thank you for opening your home to us.

The location made it easy to walk to the square and enjoy the town. We stayed in The Well, a sweet little hideaway downstairs, and it was clean and so peaceful. Each morning, the table was beautifully set and the amazing food felt like a treat. We have lots of friends who take day trips to Pella, and we’ll definitely tell them about the Dwelling Place so they can enjoy a whole new, beautiful experience.

Doug & Beverly were kind, generous, and accommodating, and we’re definitely coming back. I’d never stayed in a B&B before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a pleasant surprise. Their historic home has clean, modern updates, and breakfast was delicious and filling. It’s just a few steps from the downtown square, so you can park and easily walk anywhere.

Bev and Doug really do make their home feel like yours. We had a wonderful stay, with delicious food and comfortable, cozy accommodations. They’re one block from town, in a great location. We’re already planning another trip, maybe for the Christmas home tours!

Doug and Beverly made us feel at home, like we’d known them for years, and may the Lord continue to bless you and every guest for many years. We had a relaxing, peaceful stay at the Dwelling Place and enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast. It’s ideally placed for walking to Pella, Iowa’s sweetest little downtown, its small shops, and its history.
