The long dock was a nice bonus, and the views over the sound were great. It was just a quick walk across the road to the beach, and peg leg Pete’s was close enough to reach on foot when we didn't feel like driving. Our Airbnb was spacious and very clean, with a wagon, umbrellas, sandcastle supplies, and water toys for the beach or pool. We also ran into the owner, who was really nice and made us feel welcome.
It's a quiet neighborhood with a really nice pool and clubhouse. I've rented from private owners for years, as well as through a rental service for another unit, and each place is different because the condos are individually owned. I stayed in building 10 in May 2026; the elevator notice said its safety inspection had expired in August 2025z.
We found this place through SRD and stayed two weeks. The location and apartment suited us, and it was clean, with people around and the beach close by. It had everything we were looking for.
The condos are modernized, clean, and have great views. Ask questions before renting, since some Hurricane Sandy maintenance is still going on. We weren't told the elevators would be replaced during our stay.
Being in the opposite direction from the traffic leaving the beaches made getting around really convenient. There's entertainment nearby, too.
