Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Peoria North, IL

We were tired after traveling when we found out our first room was already occupied, so we had to go back and tell the front desk. The staff were friendly and quickly moved us to another room. The rooms were clean, though they had an odd, faint smell. Breakfast and the pool were just mid, and there was no hot tub. I thought the price was too high.

Thanks for a great stay. The staff and management were attentive and helped with whatever we needed. I heard they’d become the new management in November 2025, so I’m looking forward to seeing the updates and renovations they have planned.

The room was clean enough, the stay was quiet, and the price was average. Staff were pleasant, though service felt basic. The building has a lot of maintenance issues: the main door was broken, the bedding was torn, the hot tub was out of order, and the room chair was broken. The HVAC either ran full blast or didn’t run at all. Snow hadn’t been cleared from the parking lot, leaving ice and small drifts, and the lobby hot water station for coffee seemed not to have been refilled after breakfast. To me, this points to an ownership issue and tight operating margins, not a front-line staff problem. I don’t see how this earns four stars, and I wouldn’t return when nearby hotels are better for about the same price.

Breakfast had Jimmy Dean frozen sandwiches, which was a nice touch. The front desk was also willing to accommodate requests that other hotels usually won’t. Everyone was nice and polite, and the place was clean. I had a great stay.
