Quality Inn & Suites Peoria North

For the price, this was one of the more affordable choices around, and it was quiet. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the breakfast area was neat with the usual options for this kind of hotel. My room was clean and put together, though some parts looked dated, which felt about right for the location and rate. The air conditioner worked especially well. We didn't try the other amenities, but I'd come back, particularly if the coffee gets an upgrade.

We chose this place because it was supposed to have a working pool and hot breakfast, but both were disappointing. The pool was an hour late to open the next morning, its lights still didn't work, and there was green growth or something on the ground beside it. Breakfast was a very limited spread of drinks, waffles, eggs, and sausage. The eggs and sausage tasted fine, but hotels at a similar price we've stayed in offered more. The TV channel selection was also much narrower than elsewhere. The lobby and outside looked nice at first, but signs of wear showed up around the property. The beds creaked loudly with every movement, and parts of the bathroom were rusty and poorly kept. Walking down the hall and seeing the ceiling tiles made it seem like the place hadn't been refreshed in a long time, apart from the lobby and exterior. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're just sleeping one night alone on a work trip and leaving in the morning. I hope they renovate and improve the maintenance.

I felt sorry for the cleaning staff, but this was a disgusting stay at Quality Inn and Suites in Peoria. Under the bed I found a rotten sandwich, and there was a moldy sponge tucked under the bedroom drawer. The sandwich seemed to have brought ants with it. The towels smelled awful, like a rotten sandwich, and one of my kids threw up after using one. The bathroom was covered in mildew, and the mirror was so moldy I was afraid to wash my face near it. It looked like the bathroom hadn't been renovated or cleaned properly since the 80s. My wife went to use it, noticed cracks in the floor, then saw a giant spider crawling through the shower head. We tried calling staff, but nothing was done about the bathroom. We spent the whole night catching mosquitoes in our room. Awful experience. Disgusting hotel.

The breakfast was good, and the towels and sheets at least looked clean, though we could only hope about the sheets. Everything else was filthy. There was gravel and lots of fingernails on the room floor, mud film and muddy footprints by the tub, and big dirt marks on the bedspreads. The curtains were dirty too. The whole place smelled musty, and the pool was broken. On top of that, the shuttle drivers were swearing loudly around my kids. We stayed one night, and I wish I could give zero stars. Not worth the money, just stay elsewhere.
