We arrived at the wrong hotel by mistake, but the front desk person was so nice that we decided to cancel the other reservation and stay here. I’m glad we did. The room was nice, and being closer to the hospital meant we got to our appointment on time the next morning. We’ll stay here again.

We had a reservation problem, but the front desk team I spoke with were all wonderful and sorted it out right away. Hina was especially helpful. Thanks to her and the rest of the team.

The bathroom design was about the only thing I liked. The room was dated, the curtains were stained with cigarette smoke and had burn holes, the hard beds had stained sheets, and the floors were filthy. The shower was disappointing too, with water that was lukewarm at best and would suddenly turn burning hot before going lukewarm again. There seemed to be mold or mildew in the room, which I wouldn’t want kids breathing in. The area didn’t feel safe, and the elevator inspection was overdue. A fire department notice said it had 60 days to be fixed, but that deadline had passed too. I checked in at 2 a.m., and the person on duty had been lying behind the desk, snoring.

At checkout, I showed the male receptionist photos of the filthy floor and explained the other problems. He took only $8 off the bill and said I should’ve left if it was that bad. I hadn’t known about the cold water, broken fridge, or dirty coffee maker until I needed them that morning. I booked by phone at 2 a.m. without seeing where the hotel was. It turned out to be on a dead-end street in a part of town that felt shady. Marijuana smell was everywhere, there were liquor bottles on the ground by the carport, and shirtless men were hanging around the entrance. I had my dog and got a pet-friendly room, but the main light was out and the room smelled bad. The floor was so dirty that wiping up a water spill left my towel full of grime. There was dog hair all over the blanket, so I used one from my car and barely slept. The AC wouldn’t cool the room or clear the humidity. The coffee machine was filthy, the fridge didn’t work, and I waited over ten minutes for water that was still freezing cold. My bottles didn’t even freeze in the freezer. People in the parking lot were smoking marijuana, and I was relieved to get out. Luckily I wasn’t robbed.
