We've stayed here before without any trouble, but this visit wasn't great. I asked months ahead for a ground-floor room because we were bringing our dog and it would be easier to take her out. They couldn't accommodate it. Not a big deal, just inconvenient. More seriously, the door wouldn't latch when pulled shut, so one of us had to stay in the room to keep our things safe. The thermostat also wouldn't regulate the temperature. It only had cool or heat, neither setting switched off on its own, and we kept turning it on and off because we were too cold or too hot. The TV remote didn't work properly either. The woman at the desk guessed it was the wrong remote but offered no fix. At checkout I asked for some kind of discount for all the inconveniences. As I write this, nothing has come through.

I was charged $179 for incidentals on a $139 night that included some points. I've stayed at Hiltons all over the world, and that charge is just stupid. I assumed it was a mistake and would've been fine with that, but management stood by the $179. I guess Hampton Inn Perry thinks that's reasonable and thinks they're all that. Beware, please warn others!

It's clean and in a good location, but we didn't get much quiet. Traffic woke us in the middle of the night, and people talking in the hallway woke us too.

Our car broke down on the way home from a wedding, so we stayed here while Key Chevrolet worked on it. The staff were kind and really accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. Thanks to Jaimie and the rest of the crew for making a stressful travel time feel more welcoming.

Everything about this location was good or great, but it needs renovations. It still shows the scars from the hurricane two years ago.
