Economy Inn

I was in town for a USTA tournament and found this place after looking for something cheaper than the host hotel at $149 a night. It was only $60, and the rooms seemed recently remodeled, as another Google review with photos showed. The pictures on Booking.com were out of date when I booked. The husband-and-wife (?) team looking after me were friendly, and the location worked well for the different places I needed to visit over three days. I was near the highway, but in an odd-numbered room I couldn't hear it. The AC kept the room comfortable and the water got plenty hot. My one suggestion would be thicker towels and washcloths. They supplied body wash, shampoo, hand soap, and lotion. For breakfast, skip Waffle House. It was cheap but the food was terrible. Scramblers is a couple of minutes down the road.

The bed was firm but comfortable, and I slept really well. The room looked freshly renovated and was very clean, though the bedspread had an old-fashioned look. The soap and shampoo were empty in the shower, so check before you get in, lol. Awesome value.

The shower was hot and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room update looked fresh and clean, and the heating and AC worked well.

We nearly turned around when we saw the outside, but it was late and we'd booked based on the price and reviews. Inside, the room was very clean and in good shape, just a little dated, and better than pricier places we've stayed. The gentleman at check-in was really helpful. We had a microwave and fridge, and the freezer even froze the ice. Water pressure was low, though there was plenty of very hot water. The bed was comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet, with easy access in and out. There's no breakfast, but for the price that seemed fair. A Waffle House and a gas station are right across the lot. We'd definitely stay again.
