Quality Inn Perrysburg - Toledo South

The price is good and the staff are awesome. We’d like to stay again, but we’ll skip the pool. My wife and I were in town overnight, and we wondered why nobody was swimming this time, unlike during our November 2025 visit. Then we saw a film floating on the water and no jets running, so it seemed stagnant. In the deep end, a light appeared to be missing, leaving an open hole exposed to the water, which seemed dangerous. There was also a strong urine smell around the pool tables. With no nearby bathroom, I can only assume people are peeing on the floor, or, more unsettling, in the pool. I’m unsure what maintenance the pool gets and hope the situation is fixed soon. We’ll probably be back at some point.

The beds squeak, but they’re comfortable, and our room and the surrounding areas were clean. It’s a decent enough place, though nothing special. We were told in person and in the room guide that the pool opens at 6 a.m., but it actually doesn’t open until 9. If you’re up early like us, don’t tell the kids they can swim in the morning.

The air conditioner worked, and breakfast was good, but the rest of my weekend stay was rough. The room was filthy, with short hairs behind the bathroom door that made it seem the floor hadn’t been swept properly, if at all. The microwave showed an error code, and there weren’t any coffee cups. By the time I left I had bug bites all over. I’m assuming bed bugs, though I didn’t see any when I arrived; otherwise, I would’ve asked for another room.

We were traveling with pets and needed an animal-friendly place because it was snowing. We woke up to bed bugs, though we hadn’t inspected the room when we arrived. I told the front desk and got only an apology and instructions to email pictures to the manager. I sent them, but nobody followed up or replied. A refund or anything beyond a poor “sorry” would’ve been better. They clearly don’t care. Don’t stay here.
