Super 8 by Wyndham Perrysburg/Toledo

The online photos look filtered or AI-altered and don't match the rooms. The paint was sloppy, headboards dirty, pillows smelled old, and there was a slight odor in the bathroom. The whole place was dirty and smelled bad, and it felt like the hood. I'm trying to get my money back. Thank goodness my trip got cut short. If you want something low-end, fine, but I'd book somewhere else.

I checked out at 6am, returned my key, and asked for my deposit. I had already told them through Expedia the night before that I wouldn't use the final night and wanted a refund, then asked again at checkout and once more through Expedia afterward. They still haven't refunded that night, and charged me for it even though I left at 6am. They wouldn't let me check out early and get the last night refunded. I travel for work, and I'll avoid every Super 8 from now on.

The room was a great-value stop on our road trip, and I'd stay again. Our king bed was comfortable, the TV was large, and having an outside-access door at street level was handy with our dog. The only downside was a very noisy mini-fridge. We also found some weird, gooey eyeball-shaped candy, but managed to get it away from the dog and toss it before she ate it.

We spent one night here and would come back. The updated room was clean and felt safe, with a big 47 inch TV. It's right off I-75, and restaurants along the boulevard are an easy walk away.
