The front desk staff at Townplace Suites Clinton at Joint Base Andrews are phenomenal, and the location is excellent. They're personable and shouldn't be penalized for the franchise owners' shortcomings. After two stays, though, I won't return until renovations are done. On the more recent visit, the mattress was the worst I've slept on in any hotel, visibly sagging and even worse to lie on, and something in the room triggered a bad allergy reaction. There were many other issues as well. I left feeling worse than when I arrived, and neither stay was restful. Marriott needs to keep a minimum standard of service until the renovation is finished. The first room had extensive water stains across the ceiling and looked outdated throughout. There was an odd smell, and the long term guest next door was noisy, so I didn't come back for months. This property is badly in need of renovation.

The hotel's best features are how close it is to Andrews and how helpful the staff are. They're very nice and accommodating, and try to help guests however they can. The property itself feels a little run down and hasn't been maintained well. The rooms are old fashioned and need new furniture, since some of it is falling apart.

The room was clean and had all the promised amenities, including a microwave, fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, silverware, and glasses. Check in was easy for my one night stay. The TV was awkwardly placed, but it swiveled. I'll be back in 2 weeks.

For a one night stay, it wasn't bad. The room was decent apart from a very musty smell, almost as if the A/C were leaking and causing mold to grow. The TV was outdated and the beds were small.
