This is my usual stop in Clinton, Oklahoma. The hotel is fine, what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express in rural America. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and the location works well. This time, construction on Interstate 40 had blocked my usual way in. It wasn’t a big deal, but the hotel called before check-in to alert me, offered another route, and guided me right to the parking lot. I could’ve found the way myself, but that proactive service impressed me. Plenty of hotels do a good job, but this is the kind of care that keeps me coming back.
