The bed was comfortable, and the location off Rt 66 was nice, with Braums ice cream nearby and a cute Rt 66 museum down the street. The downside was the price, which felt high for the hotel's quality. It's kind of run down.

Getting here from the highway was super easy, and we had a great time. The pool was clean and nice, the hot tub was AMAZING, and the staff were friendly. There were carts for taking our luggage and snacks to the room, which was handy. Our room was clean, with a mini fridge and microwave, and the place had no bugs or stains. The breakfast was great, with different things each day. There are also fitness and laundry rooms, so you can get what you need here. The price seemed great compared with other hotels I've paid for, and I'd stay again. I may make Hampton my hotel of choice wherever I go from now on. One odd thing: black clumps kept dropping from the AC unit onto my bed. We wondered if it might be mold, but with the rain and everything, it's hard to say. It didn't keep us from enjoying the stay. Everything was clean apart from that weird, black soot-like material from the AC.

The scones at breakfast were DELICIOUS! The bathroom door was annoying, though. It wouldn't stay open, and it didn't latch shut. The night desk person was super friendly, while the morning staff were just meh.

Just a perfectly normal Hampton. The electronic keys wouldn't work for us, but Alyssa did her best to reset them and made us key cards when the app failed.

We upgraded to a suite tonight, and it's just perfect, with a nice amount of desk space and a couch that gives us some room. The place is very clean, and the front desk was friendly. We walked across the parking lot to Lucilles for dinner and a cold beer, then came back and did laundry for $1.50. A fun stop on our Route 66 trip from Chicago to AZ. Going for a swim next.
