Several of us in the family stayed here after my brother passed away. The staff treated us with so much kindness and hospitality, and were wonderful when we needed support. It was a pleasant stay.

The front desk woman was friendly and really helpful, though I wish I'd remembered her name. We were happy with the stay: quiet, comfortable beds that weren't too soft or hard, and a very good breakfast. We stayed two nights.

I've stayed here every year, but I might choose another place next year if the GM is still there. When he was alone, he hid in his office and let guests walk past the desk without knowing where staff were. He was the only staff member who seemed not to pay attention to customers. Everything else was great.

We could easily get to the stairs, and having adjoining rooms was handy. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including eggs, waffles, pastries, cereal, and fruit. The pool was nice, while the gym was just a recumbent bike, treadmill, and two weights. There's a great park with a paved walking path and greenway about a quarter mile away. The hotel felt cozy and friendly, and it was clear management takes extra care to make it a good stay. A great find in Dewitt.
