Knights Inn - Peru, IN

I just needed somewhere warm while I came into town to collect the last of my things, since we'd turned off the utilities. The room did have a cigarette smell even though there was a no-smoking sign, but it was warm and I didn't run into any major problems. Nothing memorable, just okay.

The linens were the one letdown, the towels and sheets were stained and looked worn. Otherwise, I was comfortable here on a work trip, and I'd book again. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and there was plenty of lighting. The fridge was a good size, and it and the microwave were clean.

We've stayed here many times and have already booked for next week, so we plan to keep coming back. The room was freshly painted and smelled clean, with soft sheets and pillows and a very soft bed. We like being able to park right outside the door, and the front desk staff were friendly. On checkout day, housekeeping didn't rush us out like at many motels. I have a bad back, so we're hoping we'll get a room with a soft, comfortable chair again. Five stars from us.

The staff were so focused on making guests comfortable that they offered to move us closer to our friends. We'll definitely stay here again. The price was reasonable, the updated room was clean, and the furniture was useful without being excessive. We got a king bed and could park our bikes outside the door. The bed was a bit hard, but still bearable. I'd give it four and a half stars if I could.
