Wiley Inn

The room was very clean, comfortable, and up to date. It could use a few more basics, though, like a blow dryer, shower soap, and shampoo. The owner was extremely nice, and we ended up hanging out with him for a while.

The rooms are all different, so don’t expect a slick, formulaic hotel. Ours was cozy and comfortable, and my husband and I slept incredibly well. I’m usually a poor sleeper, but my FitBit marked every night as a “good” night, and my husband got his highest scores too. We came to the Wiley Inn for the spectacular fall foliage. Lucille and John were generous, accommodating hosts and had helpful suggestions for restaurants, hikes, and vista points nearby. Great stay, great people!

The beds were comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean, but the price didn’t feel like good value. The walls and doors are thin, so bring earplugs. Breakfast was a Keurig and plastic utensils in a hallway, which felt tacky. For what we paid, we expected more of a Vermont inn experience and a nice breakfast.

The family room worked perfectly for us: a full bed in one room, two twins in another, and a private bath between them. The place is clean, with nice common areas, TVs, a small bar, and free vintage arcade games for the kids. John, the owner, is awesome. This place is a total gem. I almost don’t want to review it because it might sell out. Thanks, John. We’ll be back.
