American Inn Motel

The walkway outside the room was blocked by mattresses, box springs, a dresser, nightstand, lamp, and a large mirror propped against the exterior window. That felt like a safety hazard. Inside, I found roaches and signs the room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests: used condom wrappers by the head of the bed, against the wall, and under the bed, plus a used tampon wrapped in tissue beside the bathroom toilet. The room itself was decent, but it needs work.

I was here for three weeks with my dog while waiting to move into my house. The staff and the people who live here were so warm and welcoming that I felt at home, and the stay was really enjoyable. I was actually sad to leave. I'd definitely stay here again.

We checked in at 8:56 pm with my kids and boyfriend, and saw roaches in the first room right away. At the desk, they said we'd have to wait until morning for the owner to refund us, so they moved us to another room. That one had roaches too. I couldn't let the kids sleep in a bed where roaches were walking around, so we left within 20 minutes of arriving. We never got our money back. Really disappointing.

The roaches are breeding and hatching in the carpets, and you can see them crawling on the walls day and night. There are bed bugs too. When you call the owners out about the bed bug and roach problem, they get embarrassed and upset. This place isn't worth half a star. It'd take a nuclear explosion to clean it, and even then I'd bring hand sanitizer.
