Hotel Petersburg, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

I don't usually leave Google reviews, but the staff here were so thoughtful. My son lost his beloved stuffie, and they tracked it down at the linen cleaners and got it back to us quickly. Foxy came with a letter for my son telling the whole adventure, plus pictures of the things the hotel staff had done with him while caring for him. Such a sweet gesture, way beyond what I expected. My son says we should leave him behind again for another adventure, though that isn't exactly in the plans. We definitely want to return to Hotel Petersburg. It's a beautiful restored historic hotel, with a high-ceilinged, spacious dining room. The lobby feels welcoming too, with board games and puzzles. The stay was stellar, and I'd encourage others to go.

The shower water temperature kept swinging between hot and cold, and one day the hot tap was colder than the sink's cold water. It did eventually heat up, but the temperature still changed during showers. That was the only downside. We had a really good three-day stay otherwise. The customer service was amazing, people were friendly and easy to talk to, the food at Shirley’s was really good, and the bartenders were great. I'd definitely stay here again.

JUSTIN was a huge help at checkout. I accidentally left my iPad behind, and he found it quickly and made sure it was returned safely. Everyone we met, from the front desk to the dining area, was welcoming, attentive, and kind. The place was so clean, which I loved. My grandmother, mother, and I stayed one night at Hotel Petersburg, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The hospitality exceeded what we expected. We had a great experience, and I'd absolutely recommend it. 10's across the board!

The rooftop bar gave me a special view over downtown and beyond, and breakfast in the elegant dining room was a lovely start to the day. Staff were professional and responsive during my stay in the historic downtown district. It was easy to walk to my business and entertainment destinations, including the courthouse, shops and restaurants, city library, and historic Pocahontas neighborhood. One of the shower dispensers was empty, and I noticed too late to do anything about it. I'm not keen on shampoo and soap dispensers in showers, and housekeeping should check those small details before a room is ready.
