We especially loved relaxing in the common rooms and out on the front porch, where the rocking chairs were a favorite. The whole stay at The Hunter House felt warm and welcoming, with spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. The decor showed so much care, right down to the handmade quilts. Sally sews each one herself, and every bedroom has its own lovely quilt. Dan was easy to reach and gave us helpful suggestions for state parks and nearby restaurants. It was even better than we'd hoped, and I'd happily recommend this bed and breakfast.

We came as a gay couple and felt completely welcome. The breakfast and the long conversation we got to have with the owners were the best parts of our stay. It was a slow morning, so we had time to chat with this charming, semi-retired couple and hear about their interesting lives. The house is a cute historic place, with vintage-style rooms and cozy common spaces, especially the parlor and patio. Breakfast was tasty and offered plenty of choice. Lovely B&B and lovely owners. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area to visit family.

We only stayed one night, but Dan and Sallee made us feel very welcome. Our queen room was roomy and comfortable, and the whole property was neat and meticulously clean. We enjoyed chatting with them on the porch and again over breakfast. The inn is in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood.

The house is beautiful and historic, and the hosts were wonderful. Dan cooked a great breakfast each morning, and we liked getting to talk with them over the meal. We stayed the first weekend of 2025, and the bed was comfortable with lovely soft linens. We'd gladly return, and I highly recommend this B&B.

We had a comfortable stay, with plenty of parking and proprietors who were both friendly and helpful. It's a great base for the area, and I can see why people would want to come back after their first visit.
