Embassy Suites Philadelphia Center City

The location was a big plus for me, just a couple of minutes on foot from city hall. The price was also great, especially for the week before Christmas, and much lower than I expected. My brother lives a block away, so I'll definitely stay here again. I loved the hotel and only stay at Hilton properties. The suites are very large. The bedrooms and living areas were in good shape, looked new, and seemed well maintained; the lobby was nice too. The bathrooms are a little small, and the tubs could use some TLC, but they were clean. I had no other room issues, though a newer coffee machine in the bedroom would be nice. Very pleased.

The bathroom felt a bit small and old, and there was some noise since the rooms are close to the lifts. Even so, I had a pleasant stay and would come back. At first the room seemed dark, but after a day I got used to it and enjoyed being there. There was plenty of space for our family of four to relax, and the bedroom was comfortable with cool enough air conditioning. I especially liked having a mirror outside the bathroom, which gave me a little private spot to do my makeup in the morning. Breakfast was included, and the food, coffee, and juice were nice enough to start the day. They also put out free afternoon snacks and drinks in the lobby.

Breakfast was phenomenal, and the staff there worked really well together. The valet team was hardworking and very professional, and the rest of my stay was pleasant. The room was great and the A/C got nice and cold. I couldn't get the balcony view I wanted, though. The sliding glass door was screwed shut, and the outside of the glass was filthy, so I couldn't take good photos of the view from the 15th floor. Of the three elevators, only two were operating, and their confusing high-tech system gave no sign of whether an elevator was coming soon or at all. Once, I got tired of waiting and walked down all 15 floors. Fix that elevator problem and it's a great stay.

I had to leave very early because of an emergency. I understand that safety comes first, but it was really cold outside. I'd still definitely return. The hotel was convenient and clean, with big, accommodating rooms and impressively large TVs. The staff were amazing, and breakfast was fresh and filling.
