I paid $81.50 for a Thursday night after seeing $39 advertised online. The place felt like an abandoned building with a bed thrown together in it, and I regret paying for a room when I could have slept in my car. It was dirty and falling apart, with broken glass and cigarette ashes on the side tables and stained towels. Sketchy all around.

The owner didn’t stick to the price shown when booking through apps and added fees. Paying by cash cost more, and so did using a card. The rooms were garbage, the heater didn’t work, toilets barely worked, and showering meant standing in your own water. The Holiday Inn is comparable in price, with much better rooms and customer service.

The room was available, and at least there were no bugs, but that was about all we liked. We spent nearly half the room cost on cleaning supplies, deodorizer, dryer sheets to put in the vents for the smoke smell, and fresh sheets and blankets. The mattress was stained and hard as a rock. Walking in, we were hit by cigarette smoke. The room itself was in deplorable shape, with lamps and windows that didn’t work and uncovered lighting. The sheets were burned, the pillowcases badly stained, and the TV remote was crusted with something unknown. The tub was the cleanest part of the bathroom. You can see they’re trying to work on the infrastructure, but the whole indoor space needs repairs and a thorough scrub and sanitizing. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t been in or that the place hasn’t been condemned until it meets basic standards. I have pictures if anyone wants to see them.

Cockroaches were everywhere, including in the ice machine, beds, fridge, and microwave, and the whole place smelled awful. My family and I lit incense just to make it somewhat decent. The front desk man kept harassing us over $25 for our small, sometimes quiet dog. Then, as my little sister and I were leaving, a housekeeper kept saying something about pillows and harassing us. The service was absolutely horrible.

The room smelled overwhelmingly filthy, had broken appliances, and black mold. We walked into room #123 and went straight back to the desk for a refund, which they gave us. I don’t know how the health department hasn’t shut this place down.
