Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia by IHG

A fun place to stay, with a bit of a Parisian feel. They have a wine happy hour from 5-6, and the restaurant looks nice. The fitness center has dumbbells, treadmills, and a few ellipticals. Our king room was excellent: cozy bed, desk, updated bathroom, and good A/C. The location is close to the Philadelphia sights, in a safe area with lots of amenities nearby. I'd come back for either work or a trip, and thought it was good value.

The hotel restaurant is pretty basic, and the service was average. There are plenty of good places nearby for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, so I'd look around instead. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. The best part is the location, right by Independence Park and close to Old City, with restaurants, bars, museums, and historic landmarks easy to reach on foot. It's a handy base for a few days in Philadelphia, since you can get around efficiently and return to the hotel whenever you need.

Roshid at the concierge desk made our stay especially memorable. He arranged a late checkout, answered our breakfast questions, and was so genuinely friendly in conversation. He loves Spider-Man and even gave us stickers to surprise our son, who's a fellow Spidey fan. He's a wonderful ambassador for the Kimpton Monaco and a big part of why we love IHG/Kimpton Hotels. We'd been here before, but not for a while, and the overnight visit was great. Our Diamond Elite status got us an upgrade to a gorgeous King Corner Spa room overlooking Independence Hall. The rooms have been beautifully remodeled, with thoughtful details throughout. The Red Owl Tavern and fitness center are being refurbished, but Red Owl breakfast and lunch/dinner are still available in other parts of the hotel. The 5-6 wine reception was a treat as usual, and a fun community activity. We appreciate the whole team and can't wait to visit again.

We spent over a week at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia while my dad recovered from surgery. We needed a calm, comfortable place, and the stay felt peaceful and supportive. The rooms were cozy and beautiful, and the staff were warm without getting in our way. It had a nice mix of boutique charm and real care. Shameera at the concierge desk deserves a special mention. Whenever we had a question, a request, or a small moment of stress, she seemed to have a solution before we finished explaining. She was such a help during what could have been a very difficult week. Thanks to her and the whole team for making a long stay feel like home when we needed that most. We won't forget it.
