Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District

I liked being able to get to historic places like Independence Hall and The Liberty Bell on foot, along with other nearby spots. They also had plenty of suggestions for places to visit within walking distance. I came for vacation and kept up my fitness journey from home. I didn't need a vehicle much, though I noticed some amenities weren't relevant to my trip. Had a good time here. Thank you!

The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, which made moving to Philadelphia easier. I was relocating and booked an extended stay, so the reasonable rates and large rooms were appreciated. The Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District is near Independence Mall and within easy walking distance of many historic sites and attractions. I also liked eating at Coins Eatery. Monica, my server, and Mary, the bartender, were both friendly, efficient, and welcoming. They really made me feel at home. It was a comfortable, convenient place to get settled in the city, and I'm grateful for the hospitality.

The location in Old City is incredible, close to attractions and transit. I stayed two nights in a deluxe king on the fourth floor, facing the street. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bed, though the look felt a little dated, especially the bathroom. There was no smart TV, and the hot water was inconsistent: the sink was hot on night one but not night two, while the shower went from very hot the first night to only tepid the next morning. There was occasional road noise, but it didn't bother us much. I'm somewhat sensitive to noise, so the loud music from the neighboring room at 2 a.m. on our first night was a problem. I told the front desk, and they were friendly and contacted security right away. The music stopped promptly, and the issue was handled professionally. The soundproofing is poor, and the rooms have quirks, but it was still a decent hotel and very good value overall.

The staff were courteous and nice, and the hotel was clean. The restaurant was decent too. My first room had barely any hot water, and water from the AC was leaking onto the carpet. Once I found a free moment during my trip, switching rooms was easy. The rooms need renovation and some work. The location is great if you're visiting the nearby museums, but less convenient for frequent trips downtown. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless I were planning to see those museums.
