The hotel and its location were fine, but the service was a strange mix. A front desk attendant was kind and offered to help, though I eventually ordered Grubhub. My teenager and I had checked in around 9 p.m. after a long flight from the East Coast, and he was feeling sick and wanted room service. The QR code and phone button advertised it, but the line rang unanswered several times, even after the desk transferred me. When I went to the restaurant, the bartender wouldn’t look at me, said they were too busy, and offered no other option. I also lost the paper parking pass after changing rental cars. That was my fault, but the attendant lectured me rudely over the $14/day QR code pass. I hadn’t realized it was such a serious issue. He did replace it in the end, though he seemed frustrated. I understand there are policies, but I’d hoped for a little more understanding as a paying guest. Just an odd stay.

Coming for the Innings Festival in Tempe, I picked this place because the Valley Metro station is right outside. The lobby and room were clean, and the staff were respectful. I liked the cucumber water at reception and the free coffee outside the hotel restaurant in the morning. Our fourth-floor room was quiet, parking was easy to find at $14/day, and I had no problems during the stay. I’d stay here again.

Breakfast is usually something I enjoy here, and it remains a highlight. Dinner was excellent too, and the bar is a nice spot to relax and watch sports. The staff at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport were welcoming and helpful from check-in through check-out. Maddie, if I’ve got the spelling right, quickly sorted out the one small hiccup I had and made sure it was handled. Her attention to detail really stood out. The hotel offers consistent quality and a comfortable stay. I’d recommend it and would gladly come back.

The room had a long dark hair in the sink, no shower gel in the dispenser, a loose toilet seat, lotion that was mostly watery, and a tub faucet pulled away from the wall without a proper seal. There was also a skid mark on the ottoman, apparently left by someone sitting on it naked. We reported the problems to the front desk twice a day, but by our third night they’d only brought little bars of soap. They still hadn’t cleaned the ottoman. We stayed three nights to visit my son. The airport shuttle was convenient and the front desk was pleasant, with a quick check-in, but they initially sent us to a room that was occupied. We went back and the clerk realized she was off by one room number. Afterward, I sent IHG all these details when they asked for feedback. They replied that it sounded like our expectations weren’t met and hoped we’d try them again. Nope.
