The hotel looks nice, which is why I came back. My birthday is Valentine’s Day, and I wanted an affordable place for me and my baby daddy. On an earlier stay, they charged us around $150 to $50, and when we left, they refused to return my deposit. They got angry and threatened to call the police. I came back anyway, about a week and a half before Valentine’s Day. They charged a $100 deposit and about $150 for the room, then charged between $150 and $180 through Valentine’s Day and afterward. I thought that was excessive for the holiday period, especially since people around me said their rooms were $95 on those dates except Valentine’s Day. When I asked for my deposit back after leaving, they said I’d damaged the room. I didn’t. They blamed me for a water leak, but I’d told them two days into the stay that there was already a leak. I don’t see how I could have made a microscopic hole in the wall that let water through. They also blamed my animal, though she’s a service animal. They said I should have told them, but I understand I’m not required to notify them about a service animal and they can’t deny service because of one. They accused me of vaping in the room, but I only vape outside. I didn’t ask for room service because I have my own cleaning supplies. I have photos and videos of the room as I left it, and I didn’t damage it. Whenever I tried to discuss it, they got hostile, with me and my baby daddy. I also saw them argue with other guests and tell people they couldn’t come back after guests said the owners were scamming them over deposits. I think they do this to many people. Each time I went to the desk, they had a huge attitude. The hotel is nice, but the people are scammers who’ll find any excuse to keep your deposit. If you look like you have money, watch out, because they’ll charge you more. It’s impossible to reason with them. I usually stay at an Airbnb, but wanted to try a hotel, so I brought my own cleaning supplies. I’ll add photos of the room.

The room was clean and well equipped, and check-in and checkout were easy. The staff were very nice, and we felt completely safe, even though there are some sketchy people around at night. We stayed shortly after New Year’s Eve to visit family and really enjoyed it.

For the price, this was a fantastic find. We stayed over New Year’s Eve for the symphony and then “first Friday,” with lots to do within walking distance. Parking was easy and felt safe, and the rooms were comfortable and clean, with cute artsy touches. Our first night was in a small queen room facing the street, and the road noise was a bit much for us. The staff were very friendly about moving us to a room farther from the street for nights two and three, and upgraded us to two double beds. I really appreciated it. I’d stay again, but would pay a little more for a larger room from the start.

The bed was comfortable, but the sheets felt scratchy and weren’t cotton, and the pillows had stiff zippered covers. There was no breakfast and parking was limited. The hotel was loud, in poor repair, and across from a very noisy concert venue. The sink was clogged, the tiles were broken, and I didn’t feel safe.

The photos online don’t show what it was really like. There was a breakfast area in the pictures, but none when we visited. The toilet kept running after flushing, and the shower wouldn’t drain, flooding both the bathroom and bedroom. The floor was so dirty that the bottoms of my feet turned black. A bar across the street played loud music until 2 a.m. We complained to the desk clerk at checkout, but she didn’t seem to care or even offer an apology. Don’t stay here.
