Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Phoenix West Chandler

I love Marriott, but I won't stay at this hotel again. The music by the pool plays all day and night, and staff apparently can't turn it down or off. The hotel is also right beside the highway, so light sleepers should ask for a room on the other side. It's just not a good place to get a decent night's sleep.

There’s a water refill station in the exercise room, and the coffee was very good. The breakfast itself wasn’t great, though the people running it did a very good job with what they had. Everyone on staff we dealt with was excellent. Our room was a little noisy because it was so close to the highway, so earplugs or white noise might help.

We got the room down to about $85 for the night after they discounted it because the TV wasn't working. At the original $130 a night, I wouldn't say it was worth the price. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the parking lot was well lit. The air conditioner was clogged with gunk and rattling, so we pulled out the filters to be able to sleep.

There was a nice pet friend outside. Inside, the staff were good and friendly, and breakfast was okay. The nearby highway noise definitely affected sleep. The bathroom door opens inward, leaving a cramped, awkward space. For what you get, or don't get, it felt a little pricey. Just an average place.
