Hampton Inn Phoenix-Midtown-Downtown Area

The walls and doors are so thin that I could hear the next room’s conversations clearly, and footsteps overhead woke me in the middle of the night. If you can, ask for a corner room on the top floor. The breakfast was very nice, and the stay itself was fine, just not exceptional. The internet was slow, hot water took ages, and they only make up the room every other day. It’s also pretty far from things, apart from the neurologic Institute.

We were very pleased with the staff and how they handled a sewer smell in the bathroom one night. They discounted the room and comped parking for the inconvenience. The hotel was clean, breakfast was great, and the service was friendly.

Getting housekeeping to clean the room when requested was impossible, and even after I called the GM for fresh towels and trash removal, there wasn’t daily cleaning. The morning staff I encountered were extremely rude. This is by far the worst Hampton hotel I’ve stayed at. Stay at the Scottsdale location instead, it’s a day and night difference, and they actually care there.

We were here because my sister was in the hospital, and they gave us a hospital discount that helped with the cost. Getting between the hotel and hospital was easy by way of the bridge in the parking structure. The staff were very accommodating, and the customer service was some of the best. Breakfast was great, and our room was clean and well maintained. I’d stay again if I needed to.
