Hilton Garden Inn North Phoenix Scottsdale

The room was clean, and there are many restaurants right nearby. But on the first night, a clicking noise from the vent continued all night and I could barely sleep. I called the front desk, and they said they’d investigate in the morning. The same noise started the second night, then stopped promptly after I explained that it hadn’t been fixed the night before. If you’re staying with a car and they charge you $10 a night, read the associated Terms of Service first. I’ve attached three screenshots so you can see how egregious I find their terms. They keep and share your information, check with state agencies about it, including your license plate, car registrations, and anything else they can get their hands on, then sell it to affiliates or affiliated companies that could benefit from it. When I complained, the hotel offered me 5,000 Hilton points. Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll stay at Marriott next time and am happy to buy my bottle of water instead of taking the points.

The rooms were beautiful, better than I expected, and the staff were very friendly. But there was a horrible sewer smell in our room when we returned on day two, and the staff didn’t seem surprised. The city was contacted and found several loose sewer grates on the site. We changed rooms in a hurry and accidentally left a set of expensive headphones behind. Staff sent a maintenance man to check the old room, ask housekeeping, and look in lost&found, but the headphones were never found. On our last night, we went to bed early and woke to a hotel-wide fire alarm. Thankfully it was dealt with within a few minutes and we could go back to bed. The hotel is 30 minutes from the airport. What started as a 5 star experience ended up with a 2 star review. I’ve had better stays in 1 star motels.

I barely made it out of the great 2026 snow storm, then arrived five hours before check-in. The young woman at the front desk coordinated with housekeeping and had a room ready within 15 minutes of my arrival. And the rooms, oh my! I travel a lot for work, six years diamond, and thought this was a Curio Hilton Garden Inn!!! Absolutely, positively will stay again.

The spot is great, right by Desert Ridge mall and lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. The bartender was easily the friendliest and most attentive person there. Still, the room was clean and nice but really noisy, with traffic and another steady sound. The motion sensor on the A/C switched it back to auto while I was asleep, so the room got uncomfortably hot. They also charge for parking, and even though the hotel wasn't close to full, they wouldn't allow a late checkout. I guess that's the policy. I'd come back to this area, just not this hotel.
