Red Roof Inn Phoenix North - I-17 at Bell Rd

Diana helped me look at another room so we could see our truck and car hauler from the window. We'd first been checked into a room where that wasn't possible, and since we had things packed in the truck bed, being able to keep an eye on it mattered. Gina and Diana were both very helpful about moving us. We also noticed security staff patrolling at night, which was fantastic. My husband and I stayed the night of January 8-9 2026. The room suited our needs, and we appreciated having a sink separate from the bathroom. The beds were super comfortable, and the TV had channels we don't get at home. We were first-time guests at Red Roof Inn and hope to stay again.

They called as we were driving to the Red Roof, only 10 minutes away, and told me they'd accidentally overbooked and cancelled my prepaid reservation. The sporting event for my 13-year-old daughter had just ended at 730, and I thought our room was all set. Instead, I was left without the money I'd paid for 3-5 business days and scrambling to find a last-minute place for us that night. They later called to say they had a room listed as “out if order,” but I'd have to pay for it separately because they'd cancelled my reservation. I'm disgusted by how this was handled and by the representative's attitude. How is it acceptable to book a room that's already paid for and act like it's no big deal? I won't stay here again. It was terrible service and a horrible situation to put my daughter and me through. Shame on you, Red Roof Phoenix North. You should care more about your guests.

The AC made strange noises all night, and the front desk wasn't very friendly. The hotel needs serious renovation. It's next to the freeway, in a sketchy area with lots of homeless people. The pool looked nice, but I didn't use it. No breakfast, just coffee and a vending machine.

The rooms were spacious, everything worked, and parking was easy. Even the ice machine was working. The place was very clean, and I'd recommend it. One thing to know: there's a $50 deposit at check-in. I wish the front desk woman had been clearer when I called to ask whether an online reservation required one. She said it was only if I booked at the front desk, but I booked online and still had to pay the deposit.
