The Black Fox Hilton's location made getting around easy. The Island is walkable, and most of Pigeon Forge's main attractions are a short drive away. Still, I probably wouldn't choose it again with so many hotels nearby. The rooms were okay but underwhelming, and the towels were so rough they felt like rocks. There aren't many amenities, and breakfast isn't included, which feels like a missed opportunity when nearby hotels offer it. Staff weren't rude, but the service felt minimal, without much warmth or help. The small outdoor pool was a letdown too, since rain made it unusable and cut into our pool time. The TV isn't a smart TV, so streaming in the evening was harder. The stay was fine, and the location is convenient, but little else stood out in a good way.

Donny at the front desk made a heating problem in our room much easier to deal with. He was fantastic about accommodating us, shared ideas for things to do, and answered all our questions. We enjoyed the breakfast, and Hilton Honors membership saves you money. The main area has a welcoming fireplace and a cabin-like feel that invites you to relax. I had a great time at this Hilton Property, and it brought back the old fashioned QUALITY I expect from Hilton.

We just got here and are already thinking of staying two nights. The mountain view is beautiful, with a river running between this hotel and another. Our rooms are clean and amazing, and they connect for our two families, which works well with young children. There are shops a short drive away, and the hotel offers breakfast, swimming, a workout room, and more. I know we'll come back.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and housekeeping is very kind. The rooms are basic for the price, though, and the hotel charges for every little thing. Breakfast, a hair tie, a nail file, or even a small snack costs extra, including things many hotels give guests for free. Front desk service was mixed. Sometimes the staff were great, and other times they seemed less than pleased to answer questions. The lady bartender and Violet, the server (spelled differently), were wonderful in every way. Their service and personalities made our stay better. It's a pretty hotel, but we wouldn't return because it didn't feel worth the price and we disliked all the extra charges.

Really enjoyed our stay last week. We'll be back for two nights on our return trip, and for a day at DollyPartonLandiaWorld. Grab a seat at the bar for a bite and a drink. Vera gave remarkable service, the beer choices were great, and the salad with grilled chicken on top was delicious, healthy, easy, and reasonably priced. We'll try breakfast next time and keep you posted, review fam. ;)
