Hilton Garden Inn Pigeon Forge

We had a decent stay for our first visit over Valentine’s weekend 2026, but the front desk staff made us feel unwelcome. Nobody had name tags, so I can only describe them. Two women were at the desk; one, a heavier-set woman with long brown hair, was helping customers. The other, with black hair, didn’t acknowledge me when I walked up. I waited while she looked over toward the other employee and her computer, then she finally asked if I was checking in. She explained the packet and directions to the room, but never thanked me for being an Honors member, as Hilton staff have always done. On Saturday night, the black-haired woman with glasses and a long nose seemed bothered when we asked where to buy a drink from the snack area. Minor room issues aside, the room was fairly clean, except for two long blonde hairs in the bed, and the sink water never got very hot even though the shower did. Because of those three women, we won’t stay at this Hilton again. We’ve never felt this way at any of the Hiltons we’ve visited. We usually stay at the Hampton next door, and only tried this one because Hampton was sold out. It’s friendlier there. We don’t want to spend our money somewhere we don’t feel welcome. They need to do better.

The suite was beautiful, clean, and quiet, with a balcony and an interesting view. I liked the fireplace and the luxurious shower with two massaging heads. There was one marble accent wall and one riverstone one, with granite on every other flat surface. There was a lot within walking distance too. Perfect in the off season.

The location was perfect, the staff attentive, and the amenities top-notch. I really enjoyed my stay. Noise from neighboring rooms was noticeable through the thin walls, though. Better insulation would make this hotel nearly perfect.

The place was clean and really nice over Valentine’s Day weekend, and we had a great time. Thomas, the maintenance man, was especially sweet and went out of his way to help us. He also spent a long time helping an elderly couple whose keys had fallen into the elevator door, and didn’t stop until he got them out and made the couple happy. We’ll definitely stay again.
