Red Roof Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge - Parkway

The breakfast next door was a lovely surprise, and the room was really clean and nice. The front desk team were very pleasant too. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

We didn’t end up staying because the staff tried to charge us a pet fee despite their policy allowing one pet for free. We had one pet and one task-trained service dog, and they wouldn’t comply with ADA law. We would have been fine paying a pet fee for our pet at a place that charges one. Instead, we went to home2suites and paid for the pet we brought. They understood the laws and didn’t try to charge for my daughter’s service dog.

The rooms were just okay, and the hotel is badly in need of updates. There was a lot of police activity, and dog walking was difficult because there was crap everywhere and nobody seemed to clean it up. Someone had also shit in the elevator. My dog refused to go in, so we used the stairs. I told the front desk, but it still hadn’t been cleaned by the end of the day.

The location is great, and we liked the breakfast coupon, but we won’t be back. We’ve stayed here twice before and really liked it. This room was full of little problems: worn furniture, a missing chair in one corner, and a missing bulb in the wall light there. The TV was old and so small, and its channel guide didn’t match what was actually on. The phone light blinked all night as if there were messages until we covered it with a washcloth. The sink area was dark because its light kept flashing and never worked. The room is showing its age, along with the old Pigeon Forge Inn name. It feels like ownership or management may have changed and the place is being let go. There are too many other options.
