Royal Inn

They were friendly and courteous, but my girls were disappointed that the pool was more like a kiddie pool. The tubs apparently had a problem with people filling them too high, so they'd taken away all the plugs. Really? It took an hour to get me one, and then the owner explained how high I was allowed to fill the tub. What a joke. It's cheap, and you get what you pay for, I guess.

This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever had to stay in. There were bed bugs, badly, and the bites all over my ear, neck, and hands prove it. The linens were dirty, the comforters had cigarette burns, the toilet was coming off the wall, and the shower wall was falling down. There were no knobs on the drawers, which I was almost glad about because who knows what was in there. The TV didn't work, and the door locks had been completely busted off. I heard my Mom barricading her door with torn up, ratty chairs with the springs exposed. The staff looked extremely dirty and were rude. I called to speak to a manager, but the receptionist couldn't say when one would be in, take a message, or help. I was told to call every day until I reached someone. This place is obviously a seedy, filthy motel that should rent by the hour, and I'm furious. I'll bash it until the day I die. The health department needs to shut it down, it's a health hazard. Anyone considering a stay should sleep in their car instead of giving this infested place any money. I personally want to punch the owner after reading his reply claiming Royal Inn has no bed bugs and asking why people would lie. It's because your filthy motel does have them. I guess if I ran a place that nasty, I wouldn't want to be near it either. Any positive review about this cesspool must have come from the ghost management. This was the worst experience ever. Royal Inn Ghost Management, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Calling the health department is my next step.

The pool is tiny, and for what this place costs, I'd look elsewhere. The beds are so old they sink like waterbeds, even with foam on top. Drywall is exposed in places, the ceiling is peeling, and the light switches are broken. The tiles over the jacuzzi tub are water damaged.

My car was broken into and all the Christmas gifts were stolen. Staying here was awful. This sleazy, nasty, disgusting place should be condemned by the local health department. Businesses like this are what will have tourists flocking to Gatlinburg. I'm bypassing Pigeon Forge on my next Tennessee vacation.
