Surestay Plus By Best Western Pigeon Forge

We had a 1 King Suite with Kitchenette at a fair price, close to the main strip. The room was clean and the staff I met were friendly. The kitchenette had no pots, pans, plates, or utensils, though. We ate breakfast elsewhere, so I can’t say how the hotel’s free breakfast was.

The room itself was very clean, but there were problems. I paid for early check-in and was told by a rude man that the room wasn’t ready and we’d have to come back at 3. What’s the point of offering early check-in? When we returned, a nice woman checked us in without any trouble. Be aware if you have dogs: the website and Hotels.com didn’t mention the $25 per night charge for each dog. I had to pay another $100 for my pups. If I’d known, I would have chosen a hotel that didn’t charge extra for furry family members. The total for two nights came to $388, enough that I could have stayed somewhere much nicer. You only learn about the dog fee when you arrive and see the sign. Also, the dog bathroom area was covered in poop because people weren’t using bags, so it was easy to step in.

There’s a small kitchen in the room for an extended stay, and breakfast is included even for longer visits. The rooms are decent, though they seemed to be getting older, and I expected more from Best Western standards, even if this may be a great amenity for the city. The location felt safe, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly. I’d visit again.

The room was very clean and comfortable, but we only stayed one night and even that felt too long because of the staff. They were rude and unprofessional, and the lying and gaslighting were awful. It made this one of my worst experiences.
