Enchanted April Inn

The quiet on our first morning really stood out. There was no traffic, lawn equipment, or noisy neighbors, just the trees rustling now and then. My wife was delighted by butterflies everywhere. We made use of the spa, pool, games, picnic baskets, and outdoor seating, even during our short stay. Since we were the only guests on our first night, we had the property to ourselves. We came because we needed time away to reconnect and relax, and the place was just right. The pond with its boat, horse corrals, and grapevines make for a romantic, peaceful setting. Inside, the house feels like something from a romance novel, with lovely private rooms, balconies, soaking tubs, and beautiful decor. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, almost like we were visiting an old friend. The gathering room has games, photo albums, catalogues of “ideals,” and a big collection of records. Elke was easy to reach through the call buttons around the property, though we didn't find ourselves wanting for anything. She had thought of all the details and made sure we were well looked after. When we started wondering about dinner, she gave us local restaurant recommendations and coupons. We tried two places, and both were excellent. We had such a great time that we plan to come back in the fall for the changing leaves and cooler evenings. Couldn't have asked for more.

Elke was a great hostess, and the signs and labels were placed just where they were useful. Everywhere you look, there are lush plants, with beautiful views and a wonderfully relaxing feel.

Elegant and stylish, and so well run. The hostess was friendly and full of helpful information. This is the best B&B I've stayed at, by far.

The breakfast looked gorgeous and tasted great, and Elkie was such a sweet, accommodating hostess. The home itself was beautiful! 😍
