Whaler Inn Beach Club

If your idea of a good trip is partying, head to Myrtle. This is the place for waves and a chance to unwind without hearing other guests. It’s exceptionally clean, very well run, and a solid value. The heated pool is enclosed, but the roof opens on nice days, and the beach is right there.

The Whaler Inn sits on a pristine beach and is kept in good condition. It’s a decent hotel, though I find it hard to give it five stars.

Being between Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach makes it easy to get to either, and Morehead City and Beaufort are close by too. We’ve owned here for decades, and the oceanfront views and peaceful, family-friendly feel are what keep it special. There’s a pool and hot tub as well.

I can just unwind here and watch the ocean, which is only about 50 feet away. I don’t have to think about what to wear or how I look. We’ve owned here for 25 years, and even though the resort is 35 years old, it’s clean and has what you need. I own luxury timeshares elsewhere, but the Whaler is still one of my favorites because it feels like a straightforward beach vacation. The location also puts you near great restaurants, festivals, and ferries to the Outer Banks. It’s a great place for families, and I highly recommend the Whaler Inn.
