Breakfast was a nightmare. Before 8am, everything was gone, and I asked several times whether it would be replenished. I waited almost 20 minutes; only after I asked the front desk person again did he get up to handle it, which I appreciated. Even then, they put out just 9 pieces of sausage, 4 slices of bread, 4 muffins, and 4 pastries. If you offer breakfast, you need to provide it. The internet was also very unreliable. We checked in after 4pm, but our room wasn’t ready even though we were given keys and welcomed in. When we got there, it was just being cleaned, so we were moved to a different room. That room was okay, though the tub had several exposed chips and broken pieces, and the carpet was torn. It was relatively clean, so that part was acceptable.

The owner was so kind and responsive, helping us with dinner and quickly bringing cutlery when we needed it. We stayed one night at Comfort Inn White Mountains with our family and felt more like guests with family than at a hotel. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, and we really appreciated the genuine hospitality. We’d definitely stay again.

A family illness forced us to seek refunds for both rooms we had booked. The hotel manager canceled one room but refused to cancel the other. Family emergencies can be completely unforeseen, and we felt the situation should have been treated with understanding. We’ll never book with them again. It showed us how heartless some hotel owners can be. Stay away from them and the Lakeside Quality Inn, which has the same owners.

The room AC worked well, but the hallways felt hot, with no AC running through them, and smelled old. The TV also wasn’t working properly. I tried several channels for a cartoon for my baby, but every screen stayed black, so I gave up. We chose this hotel because it was close to the park where my husband was playing, but I don’t think I’d stay again. The first restroom wasn’t clean: there were pee stains on the toilet and dried poop inside it. After I called the front desk to complain, they moved me to the room next door, but that wasn’t clean either. There were balls of hair on the floor, and the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. The tub in the second room had reddish stains that I’m sure good cleaning products could remove if it were cleaned properly. After that, I couldn’t trust the hotel’s cleanliness.
