We didn’t feel safe enough to stay, and lost $115 on the room before driving down the street to pay $190 more for another hotel. It was worth the $350 to be able to sleep that night. I’m not fancy and can sleep in an 8x8 box if the price is right, but this room was a sh*thole. Maybe we just didn’t get one of the “remodeled” rooms. The manager was nice and very helpful, and I didn’t see bugs. That’s the full list of positives. The door didn’t latch tightly and had neither a chain nor a deadbolt. We considered staying and putting furniture in front of it, but the desk weighed about ten pounds and I could lift it over my head. Other guests, who apparently live there long-term, ogled us. In the half hour we spent deciding to leave, there was evidence of drugs and dealing. **EDIT** The shower was clean and looked new, and the TV was newer. There was no toilet paper.

The nightly price was manageable, and the location is somewhat central. The room itself was very bland, with no interior decor, and the bad acoustics made it echo. There was no phone, no TV remote, and no headboard on the bed. The bathroom seemed newly remodeled, and the shower was decent, but there was nowhere to put soap in it.

I’d give this place zero if I could. The man who answered the phone was the rudest and most unprofessional person we’ve dealt with. We said, “Good evening, we have a reservation for tonight.” He replied, “There is no room available tonight.” Thinking he hadn’t heard us, we repeated that we had a reservation. He yelled, “ARE YOU DEAF?!? Why are you repeating yourself?!?! ” My partner took the phone and explained that we had already booked. He answered, “What is wrong with You?!? I said there are no rooms available. Are you deaf?!?” We hung up, completely shocked. This man should never, ever work in hospitality. Stay clear of this place.

We stayed three days this week for a family vacation and had four rooms. The owner, Ced, was amazing, really friendly, and gave great customer service. We loved the remodeled rooms and will definitely stay here again.

The new owners have really turned this place around. It used to have a terrible reputation, but now the rooms are clean, the manager is professional, and it stays quiet without any wild behavior. The affordable wood floors were a plus, and with a baby I found them more sanitary.
