Double B Lodge

Dan and Melissa were wonderful hosts, and it was nice seeing their kids help out at the front desk. I always like supporting a family-run place. We were there for two nights and had a really good time. The rooms were comfortable and heated well, and our kids loved the hot tub. One room’s heater was a little noisy, but it wasn’t a big deal. There’s no daily room service, which was fine for the price.

The cabin was cute, and we liked the play area. But the bedding smelled like dog and was covered in dog hair, so it seemed like it hadn’t been changed since the last guests. We had to send the kids to the desk for clean bed clothes. We’d been on the road for hours and were looking forward to the hot tub, which was advertised, but there wasn’t one. If we’re back in the area, we might try it again if the price is right.

The cabin is charming, with wood on the floors, walls, and ceiling, and a great flame-style electric fireplace. There’s a comfy couch, a full bath, a kitchen, and a sweet little bedroom. Everything was pristine, which matters a lot to me since I always check the beds, sheets, and bathroom carefully. We’re still in the middle of our stay, but I’m already happy to recommend the place. The room, location, staff, and price have all been great. We’ll be back whenever we travel this way. Thanks for making this such a good experience.

We used the little barbecue and fire pit area and had a nice time, so we barely touched the kitchen. It was still handy that it came with utensils and dish soap. The place felt clean and private enough, and I liked the bed more than most hotel beds, even though we stay in hotels a lot for work. The woman at the front desk wasn’t especially welcoming, but she did let us check in 25 minutes early. We had a good weekend overall and would come back for the price.
