Super 8 Pinetop

The hotel changed hands while we were there, and the Wi-Fi stopped working. I asked for the new password, but it didn't help. The toilet paper was a really poor, crummy brand, too. Still, the basics were good: the bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower had good water flow and drained properly, and the room didn't have any bad smells, which I especially appreciated in a pet-friendly room.

The pool was nice, and I'm glad the kids had fun, but our stay was awful. We had an adjoining room with strangers, and all night we could hear a woman screaming at her partner, a crying baby, and a barking dog. I had my children with me, so they heard it all too. We'd been there three nights and knew the breakfast room rules, but not everyone does. As the last ones leaving, we heard the front desk staff loudly venting while they cleaned up. It made the place feel really uncomfortable.

I've stayed in plenty of hotels and never had anything like this happen. We booked one night, then the power went out throughout the building in the middle of the night. Our room was freezing and dark, and we couldn't reach the front desk by phone. I had to go downstairs myself, and the man there only gave us extra blankets. We waited until sunrise to pack up and leave. Breakfast was included in our reservation, but none was offered that morning. I also contacted Super 8 headquarters and spoke with supervisor Linda, who wouldn't help with a refund or contact our hotel's management to resolve the problem. I won't stay here again, and I won't recommend any Super 8 hotel.

The heated pool and great hot tub make this a perfect spot for families now, and the staff are really friendly. They've also added a fantastic free hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and more. It's the best Super 8 anywhere. When I first reviewed it, it was awesome for the price, but I wished they'd warm up the pool so people could swim.
