The pool was lovely, the room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast at the restaurant next door was great. We ended up at the Amador hotel unexpectedly after car trouble, and the staff were so kind. They kept my children company while I called the car hire company and gave them little treats. The animal crackers were a big hit! Thanks to Janey for the coffee and hot chocolates. I've only got good things to say, and we'll definitely come back if we're in the area.

I've been here for a few weeks while working out of town, and the staff have been so kind and accommodating to our crew. Janie has helped me with reservations several times and is always sweet and professional. Tonight I found a handwritten note and treats for my dog in my room. Those little thoughtful gestures make a real difference. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Call ahead to arrange a late checkout if you'll be arriving after 9pm. This is a hidden gem on highway 88 on the way to Tahoe, especially for anyone heading toward the Kirkwood area. It's a bit dated, as others have said, but it was recently remodeled and we had no issues. Each room has a fridge, microwave, and TV.

Our room was so peaceful, with a patio looking out at the beautiful pine trees. The people at the restaurant were friendly, the food was yummy, and the appetizers were great. This was our first stay since the place is close to my daughter and son-in-law's house, and we were really pleased. Janie was especially nice, and she loves my dog. Can't wait to stay here again.

The room was great, and everyone was welcoming. Travis, Tyler maybe? Thanks for the quick check-in and warm greeting. The staff member whose name started with J was awesome, and I appreciated the late checkout. Mr. Ponytail also passed our messages along to the front desk. We spent two nights here.
