For the price, it’s a good deal, but the hallways and room 126 need a deep clean, and the pool water was dirty. Trains run all night on one side of the hotel, so if you can, ask for an odd-numbered room. Better cleaning would have made this a five-star stay.

There are lots of places to eat, gas stations, and a Walmart nearby, and aside from one staff member and the occasional roach, my stay hasn't been too bad. I have found several cockroaches around the bathroom, though, and I don’t think I’d come back for a long stay or with my pet. The woman who checked me in on my first night was great. Priceline had messed up my reservation, and she sorted it out and accommodated me and my dog. The pet fee is $25, which isn’t too bad. The front desk woman the next morning was rude and snobby. I had booked another night early that morning, but around 3 p.m. she sent housekeeping into my room without asking. Then she came up banging on my door to ask if I was “staying over.” I told her I’d booked another night. She said, “let me check.” I felt she should’ve checked before pounding on my door, but that’s just me. She called five minutes later to say I had to pay the pet fee separately from the reservation. I already knew and told her I’d come down shortly. Ten minutes later she emailed me three times in a 20-minute span, then called my room again and said I had five minutes to pay. It sounded like she’d kick me out if I didn’t run downstairs right then. I was in the shower and said I’d gladly pay when I came down, but didn’t feel I should make a special trip when I could pay on my way out. This is my third day here. I’m staying because I recently sold my house and haven’t found another one yet. Her attitude and unprofessional behavior, including making me feel threatened, were awful. I filed a formal complaint. I don’t know whether she has an issue with me or my pet, but either way it was unprofessional. Should I charge them a “pet fee” too? 🤣

Breakfast was mid. The beds were so firm they wrecked my back, and the room stayed at 72 even with the air set to 67. I woke up almost every 45 minutes from the pain and heat. I would’ve driven the remaining three hours home, but I was traveling with other people. Judging by how they were walking this morning, their backs were shot too. 😢

The room was clean, and the place is nice, with a good breakfast, pool, and gym. The deposit refund is a gamble, though. I didn’t get mine at all. Maybe I’d come back, maybe not. It depends on whether I get my deposit.
