We just moved out, and I liked that everyone left me alone. They also seemed like good people and worked with me the whole time I was there. While we were staying, the place was quiet, the location was handy, and the people were really nice. We had an end unit with a grocery store, Dunkin, gas station, pharmacy, and parks nearby. The kids loved the big field and picnic tables. Our room was nicely painted and had all new bedding. The price was very good. My husband was at Boot Camp, and I was traveling as a CNA with our two kids and dog. Thank you, we really appreciate it.

Check the pillows and mattress if you stay. Some are disgustingly old and shouldn't be in a room. Also, know the laws and your rights: they break laws at every turn. Make sure you get your “non refundable” pet deposit back, too. That's illegal in the state of maine and can't exceed $300, for example. Save yourself the hassle and keep driving.

This was a great experience for $79, especially since it was the only room available within hours. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and they provided some shower toiletries. There was also a mini fridge and microwave, which you don't see in hotels anymore. Staff were very pleasant. The office was smoky, and the room felt dated and sparse. The outside entry door had an odd lock, like an indoor room lock. It was a bit like stepping back in time.

We were so disappointed we would never stay here again. If we'd found another vacancy nearby, we would've left. The room stank like an ashtray even though we'd booked non-smoking, and we kept our suitcases out of it. Removing ashtrays doesn't make a room non-smoking. The comforters had cigarette burns, though the sheets and towels were clean. There were cobwebs around the air conditioner, window, doorway, under the bathroom counter, and where the walls met the ceiling. The supposedly new vinyl floor was dirty and covered in paint spatters. They said the room had new things, except the pillows and comforters. The microwave, fridge, and mattresses did look new, though I don't know how the mattresses will hold up. The TV came from another hotel and was stuck in hotel mode, so you had to enter each channel number instead of using the up and down arrows. Some room porches were being used to store lawn mowers, a snow blower, old furniture, and other things. Breakfast was supposed to be available from 5 to 10 a.m. with grab-and-go items like coffee, orange juice, doughnuts, and granola bars, but there was none. At 8 a.m. we knocked on the lobby door and were told it would be a couple of minutes. The orange juice was still out from the day before, unrefrigerated, and we didn't wait to see what else they'd offer. There was no housekeeping between our two nights. I don't know who's leaving this motel three-star reviews. Maybe they're friends of the owners or stayed somewhere else. We booked based on those reviews, and for what we paid, the stay was a huge letdown.

My stay was awful. The price started at $350 every two weeks, then they changed it to $610. They said guests with pets had to clean themselves, but also told me staff would enter my room every other day, even though they knew I worked nights and slept during the day. They'd walk in whenever they wanted and didn't check whether I needed anything. When I was out, they left notes saying I had to clean better or they'd charge me for a “messy room.” They also said I'd have to get rid of my cats if it happened again. There was no respect, and they were loud without caring if I was asleep. Don't trust them or stay there. They should read these reviews and make changes. Prays motel in Newport has bigger rooms, better service, privacy, and lower prices. I recommend it 10/10.
