Big Bear Lodge - Five Bedroom Cabin

We came for a senior trip, and this was a really nice cabin for our group. There's plenty of sleeping space for a big family or larger group, plus a game room downstairs and a comfortable main floor for movies and hanging out. The mountain view was great. No complaints, I'd definitely recommend it.

There was plenty of room for us, and it was a nice place to stay, but several things need attention. The internet stopped working after one day, and even when it was up it was so slow that hardly anything would load. The wood floors are in rough shape and probably need replacing. The fridge's water and ice dispenser didn't work, the air hockey power switch was broken, and the shower knob was loose with a broken drain plug. You can hear everyone walking upstairs when you're below. Also, the tap water tastes bad because of sulfur, so bring bottled water.

The location was good, but I wouldn't come back because the upkeep was so poor. Our upstairs room was overrun with bugs, and my wife and I had to sleep in separate rooms. The cabin felt dirty everywhere. The air hockey table barely worked, the arcade game wouldn't turn on, and neither would the downstairs TV. Internet was painfully slow: a test showed 0.2MB per second download and 0.1MB per second upload, with only three people in the house and none using their phones.

There was lots of space and some great views from the deck and upstairs windows. Great cabin, though the game room equipment and hot tub need repairs.
