Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburg, CA

They let me check in two hours early at no charge. After staying at another Inn the night before, this place felt like the Hilton by comparison. My bed was really comfortable, and the room was clean and spacious. I was only here briefly, so I didn't watch TV or use the amenities. I did have breakfast, though it was just eggs and potatoes, to be honest, lol. It was decent, but I'm not a fan of the tri-colored potatoes. Maybe regular potatoes would be better if they kept them fresh. I'd stay again.

There was a strong cigarette smell in the halls even though the place is non-smoking. The room itself was spacious and clean, but the coffee maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.

We spent the whole week here visiting our children and new grandson. The location was handy, right off the exit, with a shopping center, grocery store, and places to eat nearby. Parking was free, though they give you a paper to keep on your dashboard. It's an inside hotel, not outside. Our room was huge and spacious, but we had little ants. Staff sprayed, though some were still crawling around. There weren't ants everywhere, but we'd already moved so much stuff that we decided to stay in the room. Be specific when asking for things: they gave us one pillowcase even though we'd asked for a set. When I told the room service gentleman I needed more than one, he brought me a set of four, haha. All in all, it's a nice hotel, especially if you like eating out and looking around.

This place was great when it first opened, and I wanted to give it 4 + stars. But there was smoke smell all through the hallway and inside our second-floor room, even with my 10 months old baby there. I asked the receptionist to move us on Feb 9th @ 10am, but she argued and had an attitude instead of changing the room. A dog also started barking at 6 am and kept going until noon.
