AC Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown

The room had lots of seating, and the sink gave you enough space to wash your hands. I liked the modern look, clean, soft towels with no stains, the rain shower, daily housekeeping, and USB charging ports. It was my first time seeing a white noise machine in a hotel. I don’t use one, but my friends would love it. A few things were missing: there’s no microwave in the room, just one by the elevators, and there’s no dedicated place for cars to pull up. Breakfast and coffee aren’t free either.

Don’t look under the couch! Our King City View guest room was comfortable, with a roomy bathroom, and the location made downtown easy to reach on foot. We had to go to the desk because the Marriot app never told us the room was ready. Arriving and leaving were awkward without a drop-off area. The public parking was busy and expensive, and crossing the street to the lot felt dangerous. Free coffee in the lobby would have been nice, so we went to the coffee shop on the corner.

The hotel feels brand new, and the rooms are great. It’s close to the convention center and within a manageable walk of the football stadium. There’s a lot across the street, plus a garage about five minutes away on foot. We had a great stay.

The front desk staff were great, and there are some really good restaurants within walking distance. My room was small but quaint, with a spectacular view through a large window over the street and Convention Center.
